We are excited to introduce you to our newly-redesigned web site.
From now on, visitors to newszap.com will receive daily local updates from our network of community newspapers along with a variety of photos and videos. Sports and entertainment news will give you scores and tips on where to go and what to do. Our improved calendars are simpler to use and make it easier for you to submit events you want to publicize.
The site overall has a whole new feel and look. For simplicity, we consolidated a number of pages. It is more attractive, interactive and easier-to-navigate.
But the purpose for newszap.com remains unchanged. We seek to provide citizens with the electronic equivalent of a town meeting hall - a place for people to gather, socialize, conduct business, exchange local news and discuss public issues. As in the past, our public forums will help facilitate discussion and debate (with civility). As we grow, we will add blogs for different points of view and to provide perspective.
And there is more: free online classifieds, employment and real estate ads, and all the retail ads from our newspapers, as well as a our Yellow Page Directory.
Visitors who wish to comment on stories or blogs or who wish to participate in the public forums will now need to register. If you have never registered before, the process is simple. Click here and follow the directions. Only six bits of information are required.
If you are already an existing member of our community forums, or a member of Delmarva Live, you are already pre-registered on newszap.com.
Click here and follow the prompts to confirm your registration. You can keep your existing user name, but you will be prompted to re-set your password.
If you have questions or problems with this process, please email us for additional help.
If your user name is not found, you can register for a new account with the same user name, or choose a new one if you wish.
We welcome your ideas about how to improve newszap.com and make it more useful and informative. Please email your suggestions to the newszap.com team.
