Bicyclist faces firearm, DUI charges

SEAFORD – A 56-year-old Seaford man riding a bicycle was jailed on firearms, DUI and other offenses after Seaford city police observed him allegedly operating the bike in an erratic manner the morning of Tuesday, Dec. 11.

An officer on patrol in the area of Fallon Avenue stopped Jeffrey Gallimore about 1:05 a.m. after the operator was observed driving erratically, Seaford Police Department spokesman Lt. Richard Jamison.

The officer detected an alcohol odor and Mr. Gallimore was found to have an inoperable handgun in his waistband, Lt. Jamison said.

Mr. Gallimore was committed to the Department of Corrections on $16,003 bond, charged with carry a concealed firearm, firearm possession by a person prohibited and firearm possession during the commission of a felony, operating a bicycle on a highway while DUI and other traffic offenses.
