Jeff Gordon fans help fight hunger at Dover NASCAR event

DOVER - As part of a Chase-sponsored event, hundreds of NASCAR fans will pack 40 meal boxes for older Delawareans in need.

The 4,800 total meals packed will be delivered to the Food Bank of Delaware and distributed to older Americans in Delaware who often have to make a choice between spending limited funds on food or other critical needs like medicine or housing expenses.

The first 300 fans to show up Sunday and help pack boxes of food for the Food Bank of Delaware will have the opportunity to participate in an exclusive Question &Answer session with Jeff Gordon.

The meal-packing event starts at 8:30 a.m.

As part of Chase Card Services’ ongoing commitment to ending senior hunger, the AARP® Visa® Card from Chase logo will be on the hood of Jeff Gordon’s No. 24 Drive to End Hunger Chevrolet for the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race at the Dover International Speedway.

Chase announced earlier this year it will donate $0.03 for each purchase made with the AARP Visa Card from Chase, as well as $1 for each new account opened—up to $2 million each year through 2012—to AARP Foundation for Drive to End Hunger.
