Attention, residents of Capital School District:
Our district is at a turning point. This year’s election for school board is probably more important than usual. Dover High has entered into a Partnership Zone with the state, teacher morale is lower than I have ever observed, our district is in the midst of the most-expensive building projects in recent history and its use of our financial resources has been seriously questioned. It is with this backdrop that I urge you to vote for Mr. Matthew Lindell.
I have known Matt since he first interviewed for a job in my department at Dover High. He was impressive then, and he continued to impress me throughout his tenure at Dover High School. Matt was always student-directed. He arrived early and left late. He worked and re-worked his lesson plans, ensuring all students the best possible instruction. He freely volunteered his time to help students, all students. He coached, he chaperoned, he counseled. He wrote curriculum. His dedication to our youth demonstrates his commitment to Capital’s students. His experience as a dedicated instructor brings a vital insight to the board that would be most useful in this critical time. His knowledge and his experience would offer our school board a keen insight that otherwise has been unavailable to it.
Mr. Lindell’s experience and knowledge make him uniquely qualified to serve the parents and students of the Capital School District. One must not forget that, in point of fact, the true purpose of a school board is do just that – do what is in the best interest of the parents and students of its district! Matthew Lindell’s education, experience and demonstrated concern and abilities make him an ideal school-board member in this most-difficult environment. Capital District and its students truly need Mr. Lindell. I urge all of Capital’s residents to support the candidacy of Matthew Lindell. I ask all of you, for the sake of our students, elect Matthew Lindell to the school board of Capital School District on May 8, 2012!
