Schutte Park

    Anyone who walks around Schutte Park knows that it is a pigsty. All around the pond and woods are fast-food containers, plastic bags, empty drink cups and, oh, yes, used condoms and dog waste. It is a disgrace. The real irony is that Dumpsters are PROVIDED! How much of a slob do you have to be to not walk your trash to one of the several receptacles PROVIDED? By contrast, Brecknock Park is a carry-in, carry-out park with no trash receptacles and very little trash. City Council, what are you doing about this?

I drive past there quite often, but have never entered or utilized the facilites there at Schutte Park! From driving past there my thoughts have always been from a distance that it is very NICE nice looking Kent County Park, but then again from what little I can see from just driving past there in my car has formed my opinion! Maybe you might need to get in touch with our illustrious Kent County Levy Court Commissioner a one Mr. Jody Sweeney who if I am NOT mistaken is duly up for Re-election come this November! Mr. Sweeney may or may not be able unable or simply unwilling to address your concerns before this November's election??? But it is always worth a try seeing in how just how BADLY Commissioner Sweeney may or may not need or desire to obtain your VOTE come this November???

I would appreciate your vote this November.  However, keep in mind that Schutte Park is a City of Dover Park.  Brecknock Park is a County Park.  We voted the Carry-In, Carry-out ordinance last year to save money, and thanks to the Park Maintenance Crew and the residents who use the park for keeping it clean. 

It does not sound as if Ms. Itzel has a concern about the County Park.  If she did, I would happily address it.  Kent County government could be held up as an example to other Counties, the State, and municipalities as the way to run governments.  i am happy to be associated with them. 

On a side note, I do not miss many calls and, to my knowledge, I have never ignored a concern from a resident including anyone who lives in the county and even a few who live in the other Counties in this State.
