It was confirmed by Firefly Music Festival officials Tuesday that the successful mega-concert festival will return to the Woodlands of Dover International Speedway in 2013.
“The event was wildly successful and we’ve found our home on the East Coast. We’re excited to be amongst the leading festivals in the country,” said Director of Firefly Greg Bostrom in a written statement Tuesday.
In a surprising move, a limited quantity of 2013 general admission presale tickets will go on sale through FireflyFestival.com Wednesday (July 25) at noon with the lineup and date for next year's festival still to be determined. Prices for presale tickets were not immediately known. Neither VIP nor Super VIP packages will be available on Wednesday.
This year's three-day festival drew an estimated 30,000 people, getting rave reviews from visitors, officials and major media outlets alike. Headliners included The Killers, Jack White and The Black Keys, as well as John Legend, Death Cab for Cutie and The Flaming Lips.
