Hundreds of participants – many in costume – are expected at the second annual Dewey Beach Scavenger Hunt this weekend.

The Dewey Beach Scavenger Hunt which will feature Miller Lite-themed prizes and drink specials throughout the day.

The action kicks off at noon on Saturday with registration and a pre-party at The Starboard at 2009 Del. 1. From there, teams will race to nine other locations where they will need to answer trivia, take photos, or collect a specific item, before proceeding to the next destination. The hunt wraps up at 6 p.m. at The Starboard with a post-party, judging and awards ceremony.

Participating bars include The Starboard, Lighthouse, Gary's Dewey Beach Grill, Woody's, Hammerheads, McShea's, Grottos, Nalu, Que Pasa, Port, Whiskey Beach and Scully's. Participants can win prizes including personalized Miller Lite beach packs, coolers, grills, and tickets. All participants receive a special event koozie.

Last year's inaugural event had more than 400 participants. Teams consist of four to eight people (21 and over only), and cost $30 per team.
