Lake tops Milford in hockey opener

Lake Forest High scored the game’s first two goals as the Spartans opened the season with a 2-1 victory over Milford in Henlopen Conference field hockey on Tuesday afternoon.
With Lake tallying a goal in each half, Colby Wyatt finished with a goal and assist for the Spartans. Harbour Boots’ added a first-half goal for Lake Forest while goalie Ali Bishop made six saves.
Destiny Sivels scored with 4:40 left in the contest for the Buccaneers, who held advantages of 13-5 in shots and 12-8 in corners. Rebekah Yanacek stopped three shots.
