Polytech baseball blasts past Bulldogs

Conner Chasanov and Michael Deputy both knocked in four runs as the Polytech baseball team defeated Laurel 15-5 in a Henlopen Conference matchup Wednesday afternoon.

Chasanov finished 2-for-2 with an inside-the-park home run and Deputy went 3-for-4 with a double and a triple.

Polytech jumped out to a 6-0 lead in the bottom of the second. The Bulldogs scored twice in the top of the fourth, but the Panthers quickly answered with seven runs in the bottom of the inning.

Steven Michaels earned the win for the Panthers, which scored two runs in the bottom of the fifth to end the game.
