Delmar hands Smyrna its first softball loss of the season

Delmar’s softball team scored at least two runs in each of the first five innings as the Wildcats defeated Smyrna 12-4 in a Henlopen Conference game.

Danielle Bradley struck out eight batters in the win. Ashton Riddle hit a home run and had three RBI and scored three times for Delmar (6-1 overall, 4-1 Henlopen Conference).

Ariel Bilbrough allowed just one hit in over two innings of relief work. Paige Morris led the Eagles (4-1, 4-1)with two doubles and scored three times.
