UPPER MARLBORO, MD - A program that had never been seeded higher than 12th in the NCAA Tournament, was awarded the third seed in its regional when the 64-team field was unveiled on national TV.
Ranked seventh nationally, the University of Delaware Blue Hens (30-1) are headed for Arkansas-Little Rock, where they’ll take on the host Trojans (20-12) on Sunday evening in a first-round game. The two-time defending Sun Belt Conference champions, Arkansas-Little Rock is seeded 14th.
The game is slated to start at 5:20 EST and be televised on ESPN-2.
